How to use it

  1. Add each family once and enter the game dates in calendar order.
  2. Choose snacks, lifts or both, then select the family who starts.
  3. Review each assignment. The next starting family is shown at the end of the rota.

How it works

  • The rota assigns one selected job per family in a repeating order, moving through all families before giving anyone another turn.
  • When a rota ends part-way through the family list, the next starting family is the next one in that order.
  • This tool makes a draft schedule. Check family availability and agree on the arrangements with your group.

Worked example

Start with 12 families, 10 game dates and one job per game. Families 1 through 10 each receive one turn; families 11 and 12 are not assigned yet.

The next rota starts with Family 11, continuing the same order without repeating the earlier assignments.

Frequently asked questions

How are families kept from repeating too soon?

Assignments move through the family list in order. A family receives another job only after each family has had a turn.

Can one game have both snacks and lifts?

Yes. Select both jobs. Each job is a separate assignment in the rota order.

What happens if the rota ends before every family has a turn?

The next starting family is the first one who has not yet been assigned, so the sequence can continue in a later rota.

Can I change who starts?

Yes. Choose any family as the starting family. The next-family summary follows from that choice and the number of assignments.

What does the calendar file contain?

It contains one all-day calendar event for each snack or lift assignment on its game date.
